TERRORISM GONE WILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. What are your thoughts, feelings, etc, as you read these articles?

2. What role do you think terrorism played in this massacre, if any? Why? Do you think that there was an terrorist organization behind the shooting?

3. What role did racism or religious persecution play in this incident? Why?

4. Do you think a lot of Muslim Americans have the same feelings as this man? Why or why not?

5. What do you think the military could have done to prevent this from happening? Why do you believe this? Were there signs that this man had the potential to do something like this? What were they?

6. Talk about the leadership of Kimberly Munley (the woman who stopped the shooter). What did she do? How would you have reacted in the same situation?

7. What does this incident say about race relations in America? Specifically with Arab-Americans and Muslims? Is there a reason that Muslims and people from the Arab world feel a certain way about
America?

1. I feel like the soldiers probably had a part to play in this because if i was him, i would probably feel the same way but i won't be stupid enough to actually act out on what i think. Those soldiers kept on harassing him until he finally pulled the trigger on them. I kind of feel sorry for the U.S soldiers because they were the ones who flipped his switch. I feel sorry for this man because of what he had to go through. I don't feel sorry for the actions he committed to.

2.I don't think that there was any terrorist organization behind this because he would have written it on the wall or something to show he was part of that organization.

3. The constant racial slurs with the help of religious persecution played a big role in this because those soldiers who came back from Iraq obviously feel a certain way towards Muslims and after 9/11, many people who were and are from India and other nations got persecuted in only one manner.

4. I believe that Muslims feel the same way as this man because I don't believe that Americans felt the same way as they did towards Muslims before the war. Americans started to feel this way only after 9/11 which is sad that Americans view terrorists as all men, women, and children from places like India, Pakistan, and the middle east.

5. What the military could have done to prevent this was to not make fun of this man every day because him hearing his religion and his name in a wrong way made him into this monster which nobody could stop until a soldier finally shot him down. The things which should have given the army a clue about the intentions of this man was the writings on his door saying Allah.

6. Kim just shot the guy down. I would have done the same thing if he was shooting up my army base.

7. I think after ten years, there is still some significant racism happening today. I don't think that Americans trust Muslim Americans anymore because of Osama Bin Ladin and they don't even trust Hindus either because when I came to the school I am currently in, I faced a tremendous amount of racism. I don't know why Muslims would feel a certain way about America.
